Thanks skotl and taz.
If you look to the first page you'll see that I did acknowledge the suggestion and that I'd try to get the bits. That's seems to have been missed by the antagonists.
I'm new to this forum and am very pleased with all the help and suggestions, I thought I'd be lucky...
Don't say that!
It was also suggested that I may have difficulties with the plug not gripping in the mortar. I couldn't line all the holes up with the cement so I thought I'd give it a bash with the brick. The money I spent on that hose and reel it'll remain there forever an ornament...
Heheh. Thanks, what a difference the bit made. Had a bit of a faf with one screw, I must've drilled at an angle or something, got there in the end though. As I said, shelves next, so standby for some remedial questioning on that. :|
I had another go at drilling the holes for the bracket this morning. I used a 3mm bit then a 7mm one. My ex neighbour gave me the bits they are Joran Denmark ones. What a difference from my first attempt, it was done in no time. Thanks for all the help and advice.
Next job...
I've made good use of the board settings now. Its just a shame I can't exclude from the thread for everyone.
Thanks for all the help. Hopefully it will stop raining one day and I can get stuck in.
Thanks, yeah you're right they can be ignored, it's for the best.
I'll be in town next week and will as you say buy a decent bit. Hopefully there should be some improvement. Cheers.
I'm impressed that my posts are the most useless drivel you've heard in all your life.
I'm not trying to wind anyone up. I'm certainly taking on all the pointers and suggestions I've received. I've been nothing less than honest in my posts and have clearly stated that I'm not a DIYer...
