    Ah, okay. So, if the switches were being slightly pushed into the body and may be switched on or even crushed they would still be safe enough? Could you explain the 'no complete circuit' part; I presumed that if the switches were on then a circuit was being completed? Thanks for the reply.

    Thanks Chri5. I suspect the switches might be getting compressed into the body of the switch rather than just being switched on - I suppose this is dangerous? If the bookcases weren't such a bother to get in place I'd look straight away. I think I will now!
