Nice one Rob - I saw in the reviews for this that people have attached it to IKEA sinks before, so if needed I could swap this for whats there currently, then proceed to fit all Mcalpine from there:

Thanks so much Madrab for the extensive response, really appreciated! I feel like he rushed this too, its already leaking a bit where the sink waste meets main waste pipe. I have a new IKEA sink, but guessing McAlpine system could still go into this, perhaps with some adapter? Cheers again -...

Huge thanks for your response, yes a new kitchen. He was trying to accomodate IKEA kitchen sink and fittings, and added on some macalpine fittings to make it all work. Here are some photos of full set up. Is the grey fitting the trap in that case?
