    hahahaha yes, but the boiler is still going and I'm guessing there are still a lot of ideal icos boilers still out there - there are 35 on our estate!

    L/F can be the flame detector (or its wiring which can degrade as it gets hot as v. near to the boiler), the spark electrode, or spark generator/and HT cable (like on a car). Condensate trap blocked shouldn't be a prob as the air goes out the chimney so backpressure unaffected by condensate...

    no display can also be a fault in the connector on the underside of the boiler next to the pcb, into which the power cable plugs. in mycase,it turned out the original installer hadn't pushed it in fully (barely at all), so when the spark electrode was replaced, taking off the cover disconnected...
