The only time the pump seems to spin is after a hot water draw off on ch constant everything is dormant :?

There is continuity between terminals 3 & 4 whether there is a call for heat or not ? The two terminals are bridged Any idea what next

I have looked on the potterton and Baxi website but the manual for this boiler is not listed can anyone help please.? Potterton 80.

I can hear the timeswitch working and the pump is deffo spinning when i set the rocker switch to constant.

So, have you checked to see if this is working? Do you mean the pump or what?

No external controls just the electro mechanical timer and constant/timed switch on boiler front. The impeller is spinning but still the boiler fails to fire up, no fan noise but the fan obviously works when you open a hot tap.

central heating thermistor.

My mums boiler is playing up,hot water is fine but on heating nothing is happening. I have checked the pump impeller is spinning but thats as far as i can go w/out replacing parts. Its a Potterton 80e T I A

Thanks for replying. No dripping tap but the valve problem is it an expensive one.? I was hoping the rads warming up was the boiler dissapating the heat build up.

Like the heading says when ever the boiler decides it goes into test mode sometimes forgetting to end the T mode by itself. Its an isar He35 that otherwise runs Ok except when in Dhw mode the rads heat up is this normal for this boiler or is the motorised valve playing up :?

Check to see if the overheat stat has operated, Bottom rh side just push in. :wink:
