Have heard about something called stepped double glazing
Is it any good if you want double but dont want to take out the window and have lintels and all the rest?

I have an old house with timber framed windows.
I have replaced most of the back ones with timber but tbh maintenance is a bit of a pain at my age.
I ‘experimented’ by buying one upvc ‘Residence 7’ window at the front.
I like it better than wood and want to do the rest of the front...
