like woody, i would say use 7 n concretes. if u dont care about the look, i would do a cavity wall, block external and internal and use a good quality cavity insulation. brick would look better though.
when i was an appretice, witch was only 6 months ago. if only one or two air bricks were covered, we would lift up the patio and i would smash them out and just replace them with a normal brick. probably not the best thing to do but when do site agents think of the best thing to do:P

they were down the road wen i pointed out to the ganger one wall was out of plumb by bout 80 mm! i dont no if all pole's are as bad as these were but the one's iv seen were BAD!
