Thanks for the help. The boiler doesn't have a bleed valve but has drain valves on the circuits where they enter the boiler. Suspected the air was around the boiler so in desperation I tried flushing the circuits out by back filling and opening the drain valves at the same time. Improved...

Thanks for the prompt response but i'm fairly sure it is air as i can hear it but cannot shift it. I'm sure the airlock is around the port valve but the bleed valve just produces water. Tried closing all rads bar one and turning the pump around. Any ideas? Cheers
