Hi,
Id very much appreciate your advice,
I wish to lower the shower tray so that its easier for my wife (who has mobility challenges) to get in and out. In the attached picture you can see the existing pipework, my question is:
Is there any reason why the white shower waste pipe couldn't...
Hi,
I've made a mistake and could really use some advise how to best rectify it... Due to lack of funds i'm replacing my suspended timber floor myself
I've ordered and fitted 47mm x 100mm joists. I also ordered 100mm celotex, the idea being it would fit perfectly with the joists (I...
Hi,
I have knocked a wall down to turn the kitchen and dining room into a kitchen/diner.
The kitchen had a tiled floor and the dining room a concrete floor (see pictures). I want to put down oak flooring across the whole room and so need the entire floor to be level. At present the tiles are...
Hi,
Ive got a mess of copper pipe around an old house which id like to replace, firstly because some of its leaking and secondly because I hate messy pipework. Getting a plumber in to sort it all could be expensive for both labour and new copper.

Ahh, right thanks, from a distance the green/grey stuff looked solid like it was the shell of the tank.
Why does the tank have cold water at the top, does that supply the bathroom/outside taps or something?
Hi,

Thanks!
Tom.

Thanks,
Tom.
Hi,

Should I:
1. Leave it as is because its fine
2. Take all the old insulation off and replace with newer/better insulation (maybe the grey foam circular stuff that has a slit in...
Hi,
I just found my suspended timber floor was rotten and had to rip up the entire thing (floorboards, joists, the lot). I now have a 2' deep hole where my lounge used to be.
I plan to purchase joists and re-fit exactly what was already there, just with new wood. The one bit I dont care for...
Hi,
I wonder if someone could help me please;
Im planning on installing rigid board insulation (e.g celotex/kingspan) on the inside of my house (its a 1920s bungalow with thin 15cm timber frame walls). Would you mind advising on the following?
1. I assume I can just leave the existing...
