Hi! Thanks for taking the time to explain. Common but not desirable; exactly what I was fearing.
The house was built in the 70's but the roof terrace is part of an extension probably done in the 90's so fairly recently. The garden is fairly small, about 20x30ft and doesn't seem to have any rain...
Is it common to have a downpipe shoe go directly in the ground (opposed to sewer or even soil pipe)?
I've just moved in this house and the roof terrace gutter downpipe goes directly into the ground (about 1 foot deep). The problem is when it rains a lot, this area of the garden floods a bit...
I need to replace my shed which is falling into pieces. I've done my research. From what I understand:
pressure treated wood is preferred to dip treated (in my case the shed is placed right up a fence and neighbours shed, so difficult access on 2 sides with little air flow).
shiplap is better...
Hello!
I am planning to build a japanese style Shoji wardrobe like this:

I wanted to see if anyone could recommend a cheap overlap sliding door kit from anywhere...
Also, any recommendation to which...
First post... so yay! 8)
I moved in a house not too long ago with a nice paintable wallpaper only the colour is horrible!
Just wondering if its a good idea to use a primer considering I am painting a fairly dark colour over a light one...
Anyone has any experience with re-painting...
