Most effective product to kill mold? (Edit: Seems it wasn't mould)

Ok robinbanks, I'll take your word for it. II've searched for images for both mold and salts and haven't seen any that looks anything like mine. I agree that there is definitely salts on the wall as well, but not 100% sure that's what the little grey things are.

Haha eircmark. Because I want to turn the wall into a Cittaslow for Mold! Haha. Anyway, might not need to as endecotp seems to think they're not alive. Maybe a town of zombies?

So is salts the final diagnosis? If so, is it just a case of scraping it off and continuing to leave the area in front of that wall free of obstruction? Thanks.

Yes, there is a very little bit of chalk when you run a finger on the wall. It's the internal wall between the stairs and the dining room/kitchen. I can't see traces of damp, but as I mentioned before, I think the issue was just placing a pile of items too close to the wall. They're at about...

JohnD, would a structural engineer be the best person to be able to locate the issue?

Most effective product to kill mold? (Edit: Seems it wasn't mould)

Hi all. Just an update. The HG spray doesn't seem to have worked, but I must admit, I had forgotten the advice given above which I've just seen again now when reading through the thread about needing to brush off the dead mold. How would I know it's dead anyway? The strong chlorine smell was...

endecotp, sorry, just noticed I hadn't answered your post! I didn't mean a mixture of bleach and vinegar, I meant these were separate options suggested, but thanks for the caution though, as I was not aware of the dangerous mixture. This one doesn't sound vegan! Haha. Yes, it is possible that...

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I came across HG mould spray during my research as well but your recommendation led me to research it and it does seem to be highly recommended, so I might give this a try. I'm not sure if it does still need some wiping though. I also came across the Cillit Bang...

Most effective product to kill mold? (Edit: Seems it wasn't mould)

Hi all. Ignoring all aspects of trying to prevent mold from growing back, e.g. conditions, ventilation, etc. can anyone recommend a product that will penetrate all the way to the root and KILL mold that has grown on a painted wall and looks like tiny little bulbs cracking through the paint like...

    Does such a lock exist?

haha JohnD. Can't find the option that I used to mark my previous thread as 'solved'!

    Does such a lock exist?

crank39, seems like a single cylinder deadbolt lock it is then! From a quick search, found one with a thumb turn and suitable for 35mm doors. Also seems to require the least DIY hassle and addresses concerns about various safety issues posted above. With my paranoid thinking, one of the reasons...

    Does such a lock exist?

Thanks, looks like something like that would be suitable. Both replies relate to a euro cylinder, is a single cylinder deadbolt lock unsuitable for any reason?

I'm not sure, but I don't think that much. What is the smallest available?
