Back boiler conversion to wood burner?

Hi Tibbot, Thank's for the reply. I don't want to appear rude but...I have not the foggiest when it comes to jargon like this. I'm very grateful for the reply however, bbu's and hw's are a different language altogether for me. Will I be able to replace the Baxi backboiler I have with a...

Back boiler conversion to wood burner?

Hello all, I'm contemplating changing from using the Baxi backboiler that currently heats my radiators and provides hot water. The question is... can a woodburner be installed without replacing all of the radiators, pipework etc? Can a woodburner simply take the place of the backboiler...

    Baxi Bermuda 57/4e ,Backboiler.Fire Fronts???

Blooflame, Your right about cherry-picking,people sometimes just want to hear what they want to hear, however,in this case, what I wanted to hear was,'yes you can get a fire front that is compatible and it does look modern and it doesn't cost the earth' . Unfortunately, there are loads of...

    Baxi Bermuda 57/4e ,Backboiler.Fire Fronts???

Think a change of boiler at this stage for me would be to expensive. The Baxi thats in-place is only 3 or 4 years old from the information I have.It seems to be working well so I'm reluctant to change. To change the whole lot just for the firefront doesnt appeal. Thanks for the info though...

    Baxi Bermuda 57/4e ,Backboiler.Fire Fronts???

Is there anyone out there that can tell me if it's possible to fit a new style fire to the front of the Baxi Bermuda 57/e backboiler? I'm happy with the system but the fire on the front is hideous maximus! Thanks. Trenchfoot.

Believe it or not,the vent pipe over the f&e tank was under water even before the overflow level reached the overflow pipe.Had a bit fiddle with the ballcock and valve, took half a bucket of water out, sawed 2 inches off the vent pipe, fingers crossed ,thats it.The water...

    Having to bleed rad frequently?

Will have a good look at that, not sure about the installation cock up or wrong pump. The system has been in the property for 3 - 4 years Im told. The problem only started recently so Im thinking it could be something that has just developed. Will check the pipe out in loft you mentioned and see if...

Thanks twgas, that sounds like it could be the problem.Have not had the chance today to do much about the problem with the overflow and rad because I was on hand to help a freind plaster but have noticed when heating is switched off the flow from overflow is definitely more.Once the heating is on...

    Having to bleed rad frequently?

Cheers Dextrous, much appreciated.Would taking the radiator in question (bedroom) off and running a hose through it make the job easier?Could it just be crud in that particular radiator? No doubt if one is affected it wont be long before others are the same, but would it correct things in the...
