Sorted, I don't know if this will be any use to anyone but my door is a CDS one (Composite door solutions)
Tightening the 3 hinges with a 4mm Allen lowers the door, mine was hung too high and was clipping the top brush strip on closing, especially after adjusting the bottom hinge. What I then...
Thanks here's the hinge, also my door had a QR code with this link.. Look familiar? I'm just hoping it's possible to make the necessary adjustment and my door isn't a bent dud....https://qrco.de/bfg3NJ
The gaps absolutely fine all around the other sides of the door. Here's the hinge. I tried tightening them with an Allen and it didn't really make a difference from what I can tell.
Hi, the evening light has revealed a pretty big drafty air gap at the corner of my composite door. Any advice on how I can adjust the hinges or fittings to close the gap would be great. It just doesn't seem to seal fully although it closes and locks ok!
With my foot I'm able to push the door in...
Thanks is there any way to break the bond, or do I have to hack the pipe out? If so if there a coupling for re-joining the straight section I can use? I'm guessing I'd try and find a long pipe and an elbow, rather than trying to fit them separately (as done here)?
Just looking for some thought and advice here on the pipe. It's got a small but persistent leak. Is there a compound I can apply externally to stop the leaks or is it best I try and disassemble the joint and fit a new elbow. It seems the plumber used some sort of plastic weld and I'm not sure...
New boiler - same thermostat!
Bit stumped here as was my commissioning engineer (although he was rushed) but my transmitter does not switch on. Here's the wiring to the boiler, the junction and the transmitter panel.
Anything perhaps obvious as to why it shouldn't work?
What do you mean. Truth be told I don't have a burning £2000 hole in my pocket to fork out for a new boiler so I totally take what you say I'd rather run this thing till the bitter end. From what I've been told, the diverter valve needs new seals / refurbishment. After 17 years I'd imagine the...
I don't know if it's any coincidence, but the boiler's been outputting E20 when I try and run a shower. No showers for a fortnight, the joys of living alone!
Apparently E20 relates to a bad thermistor sensor. It's a £3 part so I'll try fitting that and see what happens. My actual heating...
Clearly there's something bad going on with the boiler. The voltage detector is showing no reading from the white wire (terminal two on the connector box in the boiler) that then feeds up to the face plate (becomes the red wire there) So it's a boiler hang up - Potterton Combi Pro Plus HE 28 A...
So I've had a chance to do some testing. On the boiler, the live (behind the fuse) is indeed live so all is well there. The boiler is running any way. On the junction box, the brown wire is also live. The white wire out the back runs to the boiler. Finally, on the face plate for the receiver...
Hi DP.
It's a three amp. Even at that low power, I only have a very cheap unfused multimeter so I'm a bit worried about testing live wires. Perhaps I'll try the continuity between the faceplate pins the receiver goes into with the exposed wire ends at the terminal in the boiler. I'm still...
Hello,
I have a hive hub wireless receiver that's all of a sudden dead. Not sure how long as I haven't needed to turn on the heating for quite some time, thank god for summer?
Below the receiver is the boiler fused switch. I've turned the boiler on/off a few times and no luck. Just to rule...
