Hi, perhaps keep one of these in stock - https://www.screwfix.com/p/flomasta-brass-compression-pipe-repair-fitting-15mm/85529 Helped me out once - mains cold water feed in attic, restricted access, etc PS, self amalgamating tape will not work on a pipe that has mains water pressure!

    Help with azaleas and fuchsias

Photo 4 plant, scrape a low down twig with your thumb nail on the brown bark. If the revealed colour is brown the shrub is dead. If the revealed colour below the bark is green, then the shrub is alive, and ready to spring into life. (Test one of the other shrubs to reveal the green stem).

    Rotten sleepers

How about an upright sleeper wall, Wickes can be a useful supplier https://www.wickes.co.uk/search?text=sleepers+incised. Long life, do NOT paint them, and add a waterproof membrane between them and the patio.

    Unidentified conduit

Why not undo the 3 screws and have a look. Most probably power cables. Can't be gas or water as that Tee isn't suitable.

    Changing light switch...wiring guidance needed

Both new and old are 2 way switches. On the new switch, one wire into COM, common, and the other wire into 1 (1 Way), either way round as it does not matter on a 1 way switch. ('2' would be used on a 2 way circuit) All the best

    Iflow Timer model

The other Drayton models allow for extra options, ie the LP522 lets the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) have different time settings to weekdays.

    Front Door Lock

Hi, had similar problem at my daughters house, a replacement euro cylinder lock solved it! Just check the fault exists with both the door closed and the door open. This confirms that all the shoot bolts, levers etc are not to blame...

Heating not working, maybe a thermostat problem.

Power off, Change the room stat, (multiple clicking etc not good) This looks to be the same stat:- https://www.screwfix.com/p/drayton-rts1-1-channel-wired-room-thermostat/85263 If problem not resolved, then proceed further.

New radiator cold. What to do first?

If the new pipe work goes high into the loft and then descends to the new rad, then air vents on both pipes will be required at their highest point. Either manual vents or auto air vents should do the trick. Your actions at the moment suggests only one of the pipes is clear. Best of luck

Lockshield valve wont budge for me. Any ideas?

Prior to carrying the rad upside-down, replace the bleed screw, so no mucky drips! Good tip from Dereekoo
