The manual states, "appliance must only be installed by a qualified electrician". So I should be ok? Before I waste a trip to B&Q, would I be able to buy the power cable from there? Sorry for the amateurish questions and once again thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the help guys! Just another question. I'm looking to do this myself and am confident in doing it. However, I'm not sure what the legality of this is? I'd simply be wiring in an oven and not making any other electrical alterations as I live in a new build apartment.

The instructions said or equivalent cable. Just not 100% sure the existing cable is equivalent and can be substituted for the suggested cable.

I'm looking to buy (and then install) a new oven. My existing oven (Indesit FV 10 K.B IX GB) has a cable marked "H05RR-F 3G1mm2". The new oven I am looking to buy requires a "H05VV-FG 3 X 1,5 mm2" or equivalent cable (Beko OIM 22300). Can I use the existing cable, or do I need to buy a new...
