were not going to agree LOL
neat roofing by the way,.......... but..........
it is spec by all manufacturers to use slate & halfs for valleys, i know this you should have a read up coz although your roofs are neat they are wrong technically
PS Im not a DIYer you wouldnt get a guarantee from...
Thats about right, its not the risk of falling its the risk of burning down their house.
Im in watford leadman and I pay £900 was the cheapest I could find.
Have to admit I make a point of showing that my PL covers me for hotworks to customers, and they should check this with other roofers...
so slate and halfs are useless then cos they didnt use them on verges in the old days?
Simple as this and take my word for it any cut less than 150mm you must use a slate and a half to achieve the best fixing/bond, but if thats too technical to do without messing up your bonds just put silly...
Haha not at all Im all up for moving with the times, but its crap fact.
And I dont like to see people getting ripped off.
Ive seen many cases where innocent folk getting conned by hard selling salesmen who dont have a clue what theyre talking about charging what could pay for a complete roof...
You should always use a slate & half where needed you will get a better fix and bond than using smaller cuts, as once the scaffold is down you dont really want to be going back on the roof for repairs.
Trust me its worth spending the extra
From what I can see, you would benefit from pointing and leading the whole chimney.
Im not being rude, but slapping sealents everywhere is just a bodge waste of time, you dont want your battens and rafters getting in a worse condition than they already are or you will be looking at a re roof.
