    rocks1- thanks, although the thermistor was in place I couldn't find any other explanation for the flashing 'delicate' LED (number 6) and so replaced the PCB as I couldn't get a replacement thermistor seperately. Everything working fine now and much cheaper than a Hotpoint service call...

    Hi again, thanks for the suggestion, I removed all the insulation and everything was in place. I disconnected and reconnected the only connector that clipped into the side of the dispenser just for good measure. I'll stick it on for a fast wash and see what happens.
