    To all who contributed to this thread. Finally found the culprit :D :o :shock: It was a tempremental pump overrun thermostat that caused the "phantom firing" Removed and replaced with new. "no more weiredness" :lol: :D Thanks to all for contributions to the thread. valcra

    once adjusted, is this bypass valve open continually (passing) whatever is demanded ch or dhw? (just a bore between flow and return which is restricted with the bypass screw) or is there an internal mechanism which opens and closes the valve as and when required? how does it work!!!

    managed to get 'o' ring at plumb centre branch after looking at their schematic database. they only had the one!!! once you have the part number and search it, they are also available online at numerous heating suppliers. so i will remove and replace the 'o' ring when I get the chance...

    Hi Tony, thats a pressure guage for the 240 rsf. think i need an o ring for the adjuster screw! do i have to drain combi before removing adjuster? valcra.
