If you read the post tony it say the electrics are easily accessible without opening up gas side, do you have any thing positive to say?
The gas fitter says " there is no point trying to fix it as it's an old boiler and parts aren't available, best to just buy a new one"
But the parts do...
research leads me to believe its possibly
1) relay, but this seems to be making normal clicking noise
2) spark generator, my only experience is ignition coils on cars, and they either work or stop completely, not intermittently
3) PCB?
I have no intention of opening it up and playing...
sounds normal except no clicking noise so no pilot, no clicking noise so its not trying to spark up! but then for no reason it fires up as normal as though nothing has happend.
somedays it wont work other days it works fine, any ideas
