I leave a system working when I finish a job.
Avoid this guy in future. Sounds like air locks to me.
It may get going on it's own but I wouldn't hold my breath. You could try
bleeding the radiators first.

got a phone call around 5 saying the system has filled up now and no leaks.
so i go round at 6 and turn the boiler on... it fires up....happy days... i leave and go home.
i head back at around 7 to check everything...
you have to excuse my ignorance but my 'research' was in a carpark picking up my kid from school :oops: What im trying to say is that could he have put in a direct water heating cylinder?
I rent out an old property which is empty at the moment and the cylinder/tank had a crack so I got it changed...
a few days later i had to drain system to change a TRV and then noticed the system wasnt refilling... the plumber didnt know why... he assumed it was a normal tank so has replaced...
yes, it has what looks like 2 isolator valves next to eachother. the first one doesn't seem to work :shock:
when you turn the new one to reduce the flow the sound is reduced but obviously takes longer to fill and it is still quite annoying noise-wise :(
i forgot to mention that a new bathroom suite was installed at the same time so surely the new toilet should be sufficient for the pressure (even though it was a cheap B&Q one)....?
