    Solving digital thermostat problem

Yes the diagram wasn't clear that the neutral (N and N1) was jumpered. It was and I could go straight from L1 with switch live (tried to loop hot wire). I had assumed the blocks were separated. Luckily I didn't wreck the thermo. Now it works really well. I did originally want a Heatmiser but...

    Solving digital thermostat problem

Cheers, that worked a treat. Decent quality thermostats at a sensible price.

    Solving digital thermostat problem

It's permanent live or the digital display wouldn't remain on. It's the L1/N1 – call for heat that I'm not sure about. L1 gets a loop of mains power from L. N1 is the switched live. In both the 6360s it worked. Now in the digital thermostat it doesn't call.

Isn't... "1" Honeywell Live (red) to Chinese "L" permanent?

    Solving digital thermostat problem

From old Honeywell T6360 to Chinese thermostat "2" Neutral (blue) to "N" "1" Live (red) to "L" "3" Switch live to "N1" I put a loop wire from "L" to "L1" to power switch

Updating Honeywell T6360 to 16 amp digital thermostat

Picasso, Yippee. Ah, OK, not a BUSbar, I see that now. A spaghetti junction? Will send valve set up pic. 2 x “T” CH MVs, one taking heat to house, other to granny annexe. Third “T” HW. I do wonder if one MV isn’t working properly causing Potterton nonstop on. Thanks, Ian. Totally didn’t see...

Updating Honeywell T6360 to 16 amp digital thermostat

Picasso, Not pretty. Not my work. Possibly in the BUS lies the reason my Potterton won’t switch off (regardless of thermostat or timer action) unless turned off at mains. That’s another story. 5 wires up to BUS - 1 mains, 2 Prog 1, 3 Prog 2, 4 House stat 5 Extension stat. Progs 1 and 2 wires...

Updating Honeywell T6360 to 16 amp digital thermostat

Thanks Chris. Yes, Potterton boiler, HW/CH timer/ 2 thermostats/ “T” CH and HW motorised valves/ HW cylinder - all these managed through boiler control BUS. The 2 thermostat wires run out of this boiler control BUS. The BUS actuator suggests a need for a 3amp switch thermostat. The advertising...

Updating Honeywell T6360 to 16 amp digital thermostat

I have an “S” type gravity heating system. I have 2 T6360 thermostats in the house. These signal to the boiler control panel. I want to replace these with 2 digital thermostats I bought. The mechanical Honeywell T6360s (see wiring pic) are L, N, switched live. See T6360 wiring diagram. The...
