Well well
Two different electricians and plumbers appeared today.
The heating and hot water are now working
The culprit?
The diverter valve apparently
Fitted a new one and all works
Can someone explain to me how this randomly happened at the same time a new boiler was fitted and how this...
To add the diverter valve was fitted previously with some kind of multiplug, my guy said he had took this away also and tidied the wiring.
This could be the point where things went wrong maybe?
It’s annoying as I’m having to use the immersion switch for hot water
I haven’t touched the wiring for hive as was direct replacement when I first did it.
In terms of the boiler having a feed silly question but how do I know?
There is a twin and earth to an isolator next to it? Always has been.
Thank you
Sorry I haven’t made my point clear
My boiler isn’t getting the call for heat now.
Because I bridged the wires at the old thermostat
He’s removed everything as pictured including my bridge, and disconnected the 3 wires from the heating centre, to which terminals I have no clue.
If I did I...
I would but my point is at the other end (my picture) he has also disconnected the wiring and I have no clue where it all went
Both ends are disconnected
He’s took that away.
Snipped the wiring and buried it in the ceiling, then at this end (heating control centre) he’s disconnected and taped off the wiring
Thank you
Evening gents.
I did post a few months ago and successfully fitted my hive, removed old thermostat, left wiring in situ in a junction box and bridged it. All worked marvellous.
Just had a replacement heat only boiler fitted so like for like. I mentioned I had bridged the thermostat wiring so...
Afternoon all.
We are currently having EWI applied to our airey house.
These have already had cavity wall insulation done some years ago
They have began today and have left the old vents uncovered.
These have been sealed up for many years and there is no internal access to these vents, so...
Evening all. Fitted my Hive thermostat, no problems. All on and will work however
All I need to do now is link out the thermostat.
I will be removing the cables properly from the airing cupboard next week but just want this working.
I have now removed all wiring from the old thermostat and...
