Sorry... I should have been more accurate in my intended use... I'm looking to use the newly-levelled area as living space, not as parking space. i.e. we'd be converting part of the garage into a room, so it would eventually be walled off from the garage.

Most of what I've seen regarding levelling a concrete floor involves relatively small slopes. My garage slopes about 8" (20.3cm) over the 12" (3.65m) distance that I would like to level. Since I have pipes running under the existing concrete, I don't want to put up to another 8" of cement over...
