wayne
auto is the timed setting
at the moment it is set so it comes on at 4pm and goes off at 9pm daily (both heating and water)
i am goin to set the timer for water only for a couple of hours overnight so it turns off just before i wake, will see if the temp is any better then.
thanks for all...
have loaded a couple more pics on my profile of heating controls and pump
both are located downstairs
there are no visible wires around the cylinder
cant get to the boiler itself as its backboiler
"""I think you may have a "Tapstat" which is a thing looking rather like a thermostatic radiator valve, and is used to control the flow in a Gravity system."""
thats it!!
you need pick? valve is on max
is it worth shutting down a couple of rads to see if water gets any hotter?
re bled radiator
was hot but not as hot as rest
released some air then fast flowing hot clean water
the "thermostat" is just a small brass tube with a silver single strand wire that goes to a valve on the infeed pipe to the cylinder didnt know it would have power to it so obviously have...
have added pic of stat to profile
small brass tube in shape
it was behind the black shrouding
have been in loft.. theres 2 tanks, one big one small
both clear water , no major debris in them and both topping up fine
beld radiator last week as master bed was not as hot as rest all upstairs...
first sorry for hijacking didnt know i was doing wrong as the previous topic fit the bill
johnD
i cant see a pressure gauge on anything.
yes it has expansion tanks in the loft
no idea how old the rads are as i only moved here 12 months ago
no idea of age on the boiler either. its a gas...
