Now Im really confused. Ive totally drained the system and let all the air out of the expansion vessel using the valve.........and its still tell me theres 1 bar of pressure on the gauge. Sound like the gauge is knakkered.....................

Also, just going back, can I not use the system gauge when putting air in? Or must it be done with a seperate gauge?

Thanks Tony, Ive got myself a pump. When you say it must remain at zero until its done what exactly do you mean? Currently there is no pressure on the system at all. So my next step is to get some air into this vessel and then refill the system........right? You got me worried now.

Okay, thats handy :) Do I actually need a pump with a pressure valve on or can I just monitor the pressure on the system gauge?

Thank you very much, it seems thats my problem. Im still a little confused what to actually do though. If it is filling with water how do I actually stop it from doing so? Do I need to replace it or can, as someone has mentioned, it literally be filled with air?
