I would like to fit an extractor fan in the loft space above my shower room with ducting to the outside. I want it to come on when the light is switched on. The type i have is without a timer overrun. The instructions say to put a double pole switched connection unit in the circuit before the...
Thanks for that - I have an RCD fitted at the consumer unit - this states 30mA and covers the sockets.
It's a house and the bedroom is below the loft space. I will ensure the FCU is placed before the socket in the loft.
So i can run the cable in the cavity - and none of this need to be...
Can i have an additional socket installed in the room taken from a Fused connection unit in the Loft space ( I have a socket in the Loft ) I want the cable to run in the wall cavity and be behind a TV on the wall.
Would this work need to be notified?
Also my wall lights would need...
OK, so i can have my existing socket removed and plastered over & have the cables extended to where i want the socket to be moved to and have them plastered in the wall too. Also my CU is quite modern with an RCD unit.
I would like to have a double socket relocated across a wall space in a bedroom and have the present ceiling light removed and instead have a couple of wall lights in the same room from the existing light switch. the room has a loft space above.
I would also like an additional socket added to...
Thanks for the replies here - good advice. I connected the 5 x 20W Halogen 12V to the transformer (single output from one of the transformers 3 outputs to a JB). The lights DID NOT work. I took one of the bulbs out and tried again, after about 5 seconds or so, the lights came on. I tried again...
I would like to install 5 x 12V Halogen lights using a DAIS DA-105 transformer. Each light is 20W. The Transformer states the MAX is 105W/VA. The instructions are not very good, so want some advice.
1. Can the transformer take this load ( 100W )
2. The transformer has 3 outputs for lights...
Had a word with the previous owner of my property and it seems that i have not got an Immersion in the loft as i was told previously, but just a hot water cylinder with a thermostat attached. No water is heated by the electric other than my kettle.
Many thanks for the posts here ... If i want...
I want constant temp really on both showers. The Hot Water comes only from the Immersion in the loft (from what i understand). This is why i wanted two Electric Showers - I really do not want to alter the plumbing system (other than feed the cold to the showers).
Boiler heats the Rads, the Water is heated by the Immersion, all the plumbing is linked in somehow - it was explained by the previous owner. But only a small Hot tank (like the size used for hot water in a Canteen or such like - not very big comapred to the big copper tank i had in my old house).
