Hi Mutley, Thanks for the reply. That's good to hear, looks good too! Did you do what I'm thinking of and cross lay the battens? I've heard of people adding battens to their existing joists and essentially doubling them in size.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? I appreciate it has probably been asked loads before but I couldn't find the answer to my particular question when I looked. Thanks
