    Roads that give cyclists priority.

Oh, I get that as well. But that prejudice comes from what I discussed further up.

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

Evidence is a far better guide than the right wing media. But I get why people don't like facts that conflict with their world view. The number of times I read abut a cyclist getting killed on the road, and people in the comments section complain about cyclists going through red lights etc. You...

You are still wrong. Car drivers break the highway code more than cyclists. The evidence is not on your side.

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

Just this morning on the way to work, I nearly got wiped out by a car cutting the corner on a junction, as they turned right into the road I was on. But such things don't get reported or even register in people's heads as breaking the highway code. Neither does the speeding that about half of...

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

So you think its ok that cars killed 1602 people in 2024? Cyclists cause 3. Cars make cities worse, not just endangering people, but make them more unpleasant places to be. They generate noise, dust, and take up far more space per person than any other personal transport. The current state of...

Saying it doesn't make it so. I get why you think it, but multiple studies have shown it isn't the case.

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

That really isn't true. Here is reference to one of the studies that found this: https://www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2019/05/10/cyclists-break-far-fewer-road-rules-than-motorists-finds-new-video-study/ We just ignore the times drivers break the highway code more than cyclists...

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

Drivers are more likely to break the highway code. And cars are subsidised in car dominated areas. Cycle paths can be a negative cost. Ie. They grow the economy more than they cost.

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

From the last link: "One of the busiest cycle routes in Cambridge, used by 3,000 cyclists at peak times, will be redesigned into a “Cycle Street” to prioritise cyclists and pedestrians over motorists. " So its a busy cycling route already, and they are making it safer. Maybe they could apply it...

    Roads that give cyclists priority.

How about "Should motor vehicles always have priority, even if it inconveniences or endangers cyclists and pedestrians?"

    Climate Change

Oh we do. https://skepticalscience.com/its-not-us.htm This was revisited in 2021: " We find that agreement on anthropogenic global warming is high (91% to 100%) and generally increases with expertise. Out of a group of 153 independently confirmed climate experts, 98.7% of those scientists...

    Climate Change

The build up of CO2 in the atmosphere is largely from burning of fossil fuels. We know this, as the carbon added to the atmosphere has a particular isotope that has increased significantly. We know these have come from us burning fossil fuels. We know CO2 causes climate change, and we know that...

House price gravy train may have hit the buffers

Why more and more young people can't afford to buy a house: I was lucky that I got on the housing ladder in 2003, as a few months later, the prices shot up.
