Need Help Finishing Wiring - Scantronic 9450

Yes that's right - I can move the entry / exit. The Konnected device has six zones (+/-) and then 12+/-, alarm +/- and Aux-. The issue I've got is that the zones on the previous alarm grouped multiple PIRs. For each zone (plus entry/exit) it looks like I've got a black and red wire (power)...

Need Help Finishing Wiring - Scantronic 9450

Hi there, I need some help finishing wiring. I’ve got 5 PIRs - Entrance Hall (which is entrance and exit - when I walk into the house and the house is alarmed it doesn’t go off), Lounge, Kitchen, Utility Room and Study. I would like to ideally see them all individually in SmartThings. I have...

Hardibacker Board - Caulking and Decorting a Fireplace

Hi, I've layered in some hardibacker board behind a log burner (I've checked the necessary distance from the stove). I would like to tidy up the line - between the boards. Ordinarily I'd use decorators caulk but obviously this needs to be fire retardent. What would you suggest? The other half...

    Insulate in Recess of Fireplace

It's already brick/masonry at the back - but the cavity between it and the outside wall isn't filled - which is why we're losing heat compared to the rest of the room.

    Insulate in Recess of Fireplace

No - it's in the cold (when the fire isn't on) that we're losing almost 4-5C through the back of the fireplace. We don't have the fire on permanently - it means the lounge gets cold (which is the largest room in the house). So hoping this will make a bit of a difference.

    Insulate in Recess of Fireplace

What's the best way to insulate the recess of a fireplace (when I say best I mean both cost effective and safe!). As you will see from the photos I'm using quite a lot of heat out of the back of the recess (when they did cavity wall insulation this bit wasn't insulated). I've had the following...

    Shower Temperature Dial Stuck

Hi there We've got a shower which has been playing up and I now can't move the right hand dial enough to get the shower warmer. It has become much harder to turn - so you can't turn it further than a lukewarm temperature. Any ideas what might be causing this? We do also have an issue where...

Shower Issue (with Pump) - Only kicks in when turning temperature dial back and forth

We have got a shower which is connected to a shower pump in our airing cupboard (Salamander Pump 96-021 38). The shower has a rainforest head and then a normal head. Turning the left hand mixing dial turns the shower on/off and allows switching between the rainforest head and the normal head...

    Another tap fixing question....

Lifts and comes up a bit but doesn't lift out (either by lifting or lifting and turning).

Will give it another try. It hasn't come out that easily so far....

    Another tap fixing question....

Thanks for the response - I'll take a look at getting the cap. I can't see the isolation taps for the water. Other issue is that there's no screw for the riser so I can't get it out (or can't appear to work out how to get it out to replace the o-ring).
