I replaced the pump (as I was told :D ) and that cured the problem. Been running fine ever since.....

I've finished constructing a block wall with a radius on the boundary of my property. I think I may have boobed on my scratch coat with 5:1 sand cement ratio when it should have been 4:1. Can I get away with a 5:1 finish coat or should I weaken it to 6:1? The wall faces roughly west in the SW...

Thanks for the advice guys. I've founf a mix reference that I've gone ahead and used. The scratch coat went on yesterday. 1st coat = cement ~ 50/50 ~ lime in the ratio's of 2:7:1 2nd coat = 2:9:2 I'm just about to apply the 2nd coat 15hrs on and have just sprayed the scratch coat...

I'm towards the end of building a shed/workshop myself, out of block at the bottom of my garden. I've used dense block and intend to render it afterwards, but including a water repelant additive in the mortar mix. Paint the render with a good quality exterior paint and I'm sure that will stop...

Thanks for the advice. I'll go with the main heat exchanger first since that is going to be easier to remove than the secondary exchanger. Is it just a matter of filling it with the correct Fernox, plugging the ends and leaving it to stand? Why the pump? That works fine on the central heating

The central heating works fine. The domestic hat water does not. The only way to get dhw is to fire up the ch and then turn on a hot tap. I've just replaced the diverter valve according to advise given to me on another boiler forum site but...no joy Supplementry info: 1 - Extractor fan...
