Thanks everyone for all your input and coming up with a solution. I will move the hinges on to the new timber. I was over thinking things in my head wondering if I’ve missed a simple solution to not moving everything forward into the bathroom.

Hi Guys Hoping someone can help. I am replacing a shower tray with a low profile one. Only snag is the old tray has left gaps in the wall. My question is would you patch this up or pull it all down and start again. Thanks in advance.
