He said that because the boiler was old he didn't think that he could get the part but he would try.If not a new boiler would be needed. I bought the circuit board before he got back to me with an extortionate price.

It was the engineer who serviced the boiler.

I've been given a contact number for an engineer so I'll give him a call. Once again thanks for your help.

Thanks that's really helpful - I didn't realise that it had to be set up after being installed.

Hi Hope someone can help. The PCB on the boiler needs replacing and when I've removed the cover to the pcb there is an earth wire loose.(I took a photo before I removed/disconnected anything). Should this be connected to something or is it meant to be loose. Thanks
