My problem is that the cold on the bath mixer taps is very stiff and only opens a little, consequently taking an age to fill the bath. Any help would be appreciated. Others taps in the house OK.

To Scrit - I have a project in mind (and a money-making scheme hopefully) in which brads are left proud so that thread can be looped around them.

Does anybody know if there's a model of nail with variable pressure when firing. I need one which does not fire brads/panel pins all the way home but leaves them proud by up to 5mm?

It's a possibilty but there may be gas in the system (not the stuff that fires the boiler but caused by contaminated water). Give this a try - undo the bleed tap at the top of the cold radiator, get a match and when you hear hissing strike the match and hold to the bleed tap. If there is a...
