Do you reckon I could fit a single impeller pump? Haha I can hear wasp nests being disturbed.

for example : 0.1 bar (1.45 psi) is equal to approx one metre of height between the bottom of the water tank and the outlet of the tap or shower. 1 metre height of water = 0.1 bar 2 metre height of water = 0.2 bar 3 metre height of water = 0.3 bar 4 metre height of water = 0.4 bar etc 2 metres...

No problems with the old ones, this is a single mixer tap, specs: • Suitable for low pressure water systems • Ceramic disc technology • Minimum 0.2 bar water pressure No mention of head height...

Mine is sitting on the loft floor, I guess at 1.8m to top of head. The older tank was in the bedroom above the immersion heater! 1.5m

Yes read all replies. I understand a twin balanced pump is better but this is to a basin, not a shower where temperature is more critical. Ok.. so in normal circumstances would the head (1.8m ish) be sufficient for the small bore taps?

yes, the pipes were running along the outside of the shirting boards, very ugly. The taps were 15mm feed tho, not this small bore things.

FFS What? And what did steelmasons teach me? Certainly nothing relevant about this thread Picasso has already said he was not offended so why steelmasons input on my manners? No big expenses, a few meters of pipe, more time wise.

Ok so now I have chased a pipe in at lower level running at skirting board level then up to the tap. It is 100% better, but still a tad slow. I still have my reduced bore isolating valve in, but even if I take it out I think the tails would restrict it. It is definitely positive head now ( I...

Hi, thanks for the reply again. Just curious what a single pump would be used for then? In what situation would it be used?

Nah mate, you need to! You have come on my thread with absolutely no substance, no advice. The only input you commented on was a piece by me saying 'Any other answers or solutions anyone?' How is this offensive? I had already said I didn't want to rip up my floor or my tiles off the wall so...

Who are you? The primary school teacher?
  14. xant14

    Trickle :(

Yes to both. The small bore isolation valve just below the flexy tap tails. I am gonna run a new pipe now.

Under the floor is not an option now. New floor down, I could take off bottom row of tiles on one wall and chase it in. Looks like that is one answer then. I didn't realise I was rude to picasso. Sorry if it come over that way. I was just hoping there was an answer without ripping up work I...
