Thanks for the help, but they (I've got 2) won't shift at all. Most frustrating. I tried a little leverage & they moved, but it was the whole fitting that moved, didn't want to force it for fear of wrecking the porcelain. Will have to await the return of my fitter. Cheers

Cheers, will have another go. The only way seems to be up but it won't budge. I do however have a 6 year old son who's aim isn't true so some fluid may have caused a gluing effect. Will have another go when I get home & report back. Thanks
