I’d like some over our allotments to feed on the slugs and snails but we have badgers over there and badgers are about the only animal that will kill and eat a hedgehog as they have vicious claws and teeth that a hedgehog has no defence against.

I’ve never understood why badgers have such protection apart from the way they look. The TB they transmit to cows causes havoc to farmers dairy herds.

My Uncles brothers mother in laws Grandad was a Farmer. It was his hobby. He collected them from all parts of the country.
