    Thanks you were correct the wiring in the back of the socket wasnt tight enough , lesson learnt :oops: :oops: sorted now and working again

    sorry did'nt mean to upset anyone , i wouldnt let anyone touch the main electrics , it was just replacing a socket on the wall to eliminate that possibility , now i need an electrician to check things out i know :oops:

    It was just the 45amp switch on the wall that was replaced , but now there is just a dim light on shower unit , would replacing the 32amp in the mains board make a difference ?

    I had a new shower fitted about 8 months ago , granted not the straightest thing on the wall but worked great till now. I've always had a shower so have'nt been expecting a problem. First thing i noticed when i switched it off was the switch felt warm and when i tried to put it on again...
