Texecom adding internet access to use app

You will need usb com lead/ flasher and software From Texecom. To be fair the official usb com lead and elite flasher pushes you close to an new elite 64-W and that would have warranties and more devices that could be added I would look at that option too????! Might be more cost effective...

Smart com pro can be placed inside modern panels allegedly, but not not older poly ones, if outside the unit you need a separate case for the unit.

Hmm, depends on what you need. CEL-0001 is WiFi Ethernet (currently being kept in production) CEL-0007 is as above plus gprs built in eSIM used on Texecom tariff if you like(discontinued and replaced with Smartcom pro) These are cheaper than the smart com pro equivalents and are currently...

    DT PIR - false alarms

Pet friendly it’s hard to say, as you look at mounting height and coverage patterns, but knowing if our is tilting forward, etc etc, not a fan of pet friendly sensors. Edit, apparently your model isn’t pet friendly see below.

    Wired v wireless

I can’t comment on the fancy system, If it gets installed and it works well, then fair enough. We come across various systems, some fancy Chinese ones, lots of features but don’t seem to work at all well if at all and not for long. i think one of the quotations i lost out on the other week...

Radio plus silver aerial, but should also be marked up inside on the device label. Ricochet is a very early version if it is ricochet, this maybe an issue if you want to add some devices. Like keypads, bells or dual techs. It is supposed to be compatible with everything else but at 16 years old...

Any Texecom engineers in Leeds area?

You can’t replace the PCB of a premier with a premier elite, the power supply connection is different. What do you want to do going forward, hardwired, wireless? I am going to suspect if you have wireless on that panel it’s radio plus and not ricochet for example

The devices may need deleting off and then relearning back on if it’s a version 4 panel or lower.

Any Texecom engineers in Leeds area?

Not in Leeds but I am down that way from time to time. If you have a 64-W it can be flash upgraded. If it’s a version 3 panel or higher out of the factory then you can probably get a way with a flash update rather than panel/ pcb change. Menu 4 on the keypad will give you the current version.

    Texecom Smartcom Query

Hmmm. Yes you could potentially, just don’t get rid of your old com ip unit and you might need a comport plus adapter. You should be able to setup the smart com and use its comip unit. However the old app may disconnect. If it does you can setup the old comip app seperately with the comport...

    Texecom Smartcom Query

Apologies the comip would send to the old app which wasn’t connect. DNS account would help get your externally public ip address, however you may need help if the external ip address is shared or cgnat to get it to work. Not an IT expert. End users have been able to register an installer...
