    I'm thinking of removing a wall between kitchen and dining room in a 1950s semi, I'm not sue if the wall in question continues upstairs to form the bedroom/bathroom wall though.... If I take the kitchen wall down would I need to insert lintels or supports? Do I need to advise building control?

    Cheers dan, It was causing me worry I must admit. Would I have to declare this as movement or anything like that on my buildings insuerance... How much do u estimate it will cost? Ball park figure? I've done some research on here and it doesn't seem uncommon
