I read something saying the battery could be so low its draining the mains power before it can go to the pannel? What are the chances? Mainly the battery or do you think its the tranformer?

Hi All, The transformer has reached its end of life in the panel for the security alarm system, It was put in 2006, when the estate was built. The electrician said its the transformer, i am struggling to find one as they are no longer made, is there any other transformers i can use?
