    Heat loss calcs?

I have already given her a before and after EPC, with a "A" rated boiler it gets through easy but she wont accept the EPC's and wants SAP calcs. I think its all a bit daft after all I have already shown passes with EPC's

    Heat loss calcs?

Yes I think your right she did mention 25% of the floor area. As the whole roof is glass its the same (even bigger due to pitch) than the floor.

    Heat loss calcs?

Hi, I’m doing a kitchen extension which is brick and thermolite (100mm insulation) cavity walls with a glass roof (flowing from conservatory). When I spoke to Building Control about this they told me on the phone I would need to show the house was no less efficient after the extension than...

    vapour barrier - solid floor

I had building control out today to inspect my foundations which were passed. Next is the slab, I had intended: 150mm hardcore > sand blinding > membrane > 100mm Kingspan > 100mm concrete slab. The BCO said vapour barrier between the kingspan and slab. Is this normal? im guessing it...

I have been searching everyware for information on minimum door sizes but can't find anything. I'm completing a side extension that upstairs makes the bedrooms bigger and adds two en-suites. The main family bathroom (as with all the door in the house) has an oversize door fitted in both...

Regulations re workspace around kitchen hobs?

You have not said if its gas or electric. For Gas there are clearances that need to be followed (not building regs but Gas Safety Regs) or you wont get it fitted and signed off. The clearances are in the manufacturers instructions. Without manufacturers instructions (they may require more...

    Is it normal for.....

Of course its taken into account. When I quote for a boiler replacement I put on the quote I will remove all scrap and waste. Firstly, if it was not for the scrap I would have to pay to get the rubbish collected, the scrap pays for this and often its just a simple deal for my scrap guy to...
