Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

Would you say 1hr is enough run time with x800?

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

I am considering another shorter x800 clean and flush (following the above procedure) to see if it improves the situation.

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

The only check I'm able to do no the HX temp sensor is to measure its resistance and check against the specs, which seem fine. Unfotunately there is no way for me to view the actual temperarure figures.

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

Temperature measurements taken using a Braun Thermoscan against a piece of black tape attached to the flow pipe next to the flow temperature sensor give readings within 1 degree of the boilers displayed current flow temp. So it appear the flow temperature sensor is reading correctly.

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

That is what the 2967 error code indicates. The big question is why? To summarise - Initial thought's were an airlock or a blockage in the flow of the system. However, as the same error occurs whether the boiler is heating the radiators only OR DHW cylinder only, I believe this eliminates any...

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

I really couldn't say what output the radiators are capable of as they are the original ones from the 70's and vary wildly in size, 2800x400 double to 1200x500 single to a 3000x700 single! I did take the flow temps from the boilers display. The flow temp sensor (part 19) is strapped to the...

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

HI, sorry for the silence on all the helpful posts. Family duties sometime prevent me from accessing a computer. @DP I was running X400 through the system with a Magnacleanse attached. I only got about a coffee mug full of magnetite. I was expecting worse. I then opened both 2 port valves...

graph of temps as the cycle continued over 45 minutes. I'll give it a go on 75%.

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

There seems to be a fairly consistent difference in the flow temperature between start / stop increase temps and stop / start decrease temps of around 17 degrees. Is that significant or point to anything?

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

Hi, I've run it today with a flow temp of 65 on PP3. I could only fit in 45 minutes, but I've recorded the results, so I'll get them organised tomorrow and post them here. Thanks again.

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

Hi, I gave PP3 a go. It started off running at about 17 watts and within a few minutes ramped up to 24W. There didn't seem to be any air ingress, but sadly the boiler continued to perform as before. Through all this experimenting, and attempting to get the boiler to run continuously by setting a...

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

After letting it run for some time at a steady flow of 64.5 (stated on the boiler display) the return temp (possibly not that accurate as it's a cheap aliexpress sensor, but in the ball park) was 48.5. This was when testing it running on CP3 last Thursday? I've not given PP3 a go yet.

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

Hi, well I'm back at the house, full of hope that the problem will have gone all by itself, but alas no. So from your calculations you'd say there in no restriction. Does this apply to the HX also, or could there still be a partial blockage there? Is it still a good idea to attempt to back...

Thanks so much for all the help. I need to leave the house now to go look after my elderly mother, but I'll be back late tomorrow to continue my schooling

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

In the previous post I stated it was running in CC. I just checked the manual, and realise it was running it on CP3. The photo is correct and Ive edited the previous post to avoid any further confusion. Sorry!

Short cycling until flow temperature reached - error 2967

All last year it was set on PP2 and ran about 7-9W. It was running on CP3 earlier when the measurements were taken, though at this speed it seems to draw air through the vent pipe (a different issue to be resolved later) so I later turned it down a bit to CP2 (17W) for a few hours testing. Photo...
