    Trocal small punctures

Hi, I wonder if you can offer some advice please. We have a flat roof covered with Trocal (approximately 20 year's old). Yesterday I noticed 2 small punctures in the fabric; they look like they may have been caused by melting of the fabric (maybe by a small chemical spill - we have recently had...

Bosch HBN 91.. Oven Timer and Control Knobs (White)

Hi, Can anyone possibly help? I have a built-in Bosch HBN 91 double oven which my tenant fire damaged before leaving our house. I wanted to order a new timer & oven control knobs for it but the Enr number is missing (it should be on the inside of the door surround but isn't). Does anyone have...

    Wylex Fuse Covers

John, Your opinion is valued if we lived too cautiously we'd never go out of the house - maybe never get out of bed in fact. :) I know there are other things I can worry about so I'll not get too stressed on this one. Very best wishes, John

    Wylex Fuse Covers

I think the fact that coats are hung nearby is an issue. I really hadn't seen it from that viewpoint.

Ah very interesting. I didn't know about that. Well, I'll keep working on getting it sorted. Thanks for all the messages so far, John

    Wylex Fuse Covers

Absolutely, they were tins of paint left by the handyman (presumably called that because he lived locally and not because of any diy skills) who was employed by our letting agent. Among the disgraceful things he did was to throw away 3 connected working mains smoke alarms and replaced them with...

    Wylex Fuse Covers

Yes, I have the bare bones of the originals that I could glue together. I'm not sure I could make it look as good as it should but you've got me looking more on eBay. Cheers, John

Do you know what make of bracket this is?

Much appreciated. As you say it may be possible to fit one at a time but... maybe not! Cheers, John :)

Do you know what make of bracket this is?

Hi Sandy, Unfortunately my receipt just says 'ladder radiator' and the shop no longer trades. I suppose I could get a universal set but I'm not sure if fitting them might mean removing the rad. which would be a bit of a pain. Thanks for your interest, John

Yes, it's just 'Wylex fuse cover'. You're right though, it wouldn't be too difficult to make one - we'll see what happens. Cheers, John

    Wylex Fuse Covers

Hi, Does anyone have any white/cream wylex fuse covers (8 fuses and 4 fuses) please? - see photos below. I know the unit is old but I would like to cover the fuses for the time being.

Do you know what make of bracket this is?

I know I'm awkward but I want to replace a ladder bracket cover (original lost my my tenant...). The trouble is I don't know who made it or where I could get a replacement from. I know I could replace all the brackets but I'd rather have the original as it would be much easier to replace. Any ideas?

Worcester ICC2 Combi / Water softener

I think I got there! Thanks very much for your help. After reading your response I did a search and came up with this document http://www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/cache/file/44/water-softeners-and-scale-inhibitors.pdf Thanks again.

Worcester ICC2 Combi / Water softener

OK. Thanks, as far as my limited knowledge of the system goes the softener appears to be connected to the stopcock so it looks like ALL the water gets softened -I could be wrong!! Is this normal practise or a bodged job perhaps?

Worcester ICC2 Combi / Water softener

Hi Folks, I wonder if any of you can clarify if it's OK to use a water softener with this boiler please? The is a single quote in the manual that states 'Artificially softened water must not be used in the central heating system.' Is this a general comment or a comment specific to this boiler...
