    commercial kitchen gas upgrade help

Hi there, I've a bit of an obvious question but it doesn't seem to have been covered by the various comments so far. What is actually there at the moment? From what I've seen, you have a takeaway with 200KW of appliances, no safety equipement and all hanging off a U6 meter. Has the...

    Error Code Keston Boiler

I just been to look at one of these today. Checked the error code history and E.80 popped up. The boiler was acting very strangely. The spark ignition was constantly sparking and the pcb was detecting a flame current of 4.8 micro amps even though the gas was turned off. Spoke to Keston to...

Worcester 26CDi losing pressure can not find leak.what next?

Is it possible to leave the CH isolated for several hours to see if the system pressure drops?. You really need to identify if it's a boiler leak or a rad/system leak.

F&E Tank height above Radiator level

After seeing the contents of some cylinders and CWST's I think a bit of x100 in your shampoo might be a healthier option! :D

F&E Tank height above Radiator level

The cold water storage tank should be above the level of the F&E tank. This is to prevent possible contamination of hot water if there is a pin hole leak of the cylinder coil.

newly fitted flat panel radiator cold

I hope you haven't got cream carpets! It's best to use an aquavac to suck the water from the rad (40 quid from wickes) or else crack open one of the valves and put a bowl under it. Use the bled screw to control the amount of water coming out. Can be a very messy job. If it's a tall rad say...

    Radiator Troubles

If you turn off all the rads that are working, this will force the hot water into the ones that are suspect. If they heat up nicely then you've got a balancing problem.

    Curved radiators

Just note that they are pretty heavy and difficult to man handle and mount on a wall due to their offset centre of gravity.

    Radiator Troubles

Sounds like the system needs to be balanced. There should be the required info in the FAQ for balancing rads. Daz

    boiler in garage

Take it through the flat roof vertically. It's the cheapest and quickest option. There's less doubt about the legality of the install as well. Your neighbour might be non-fussed at the moment but do you want the threat of having to changing the boiler install hanging over your head if moods...

    Chrome Pipe question

If you are using soldered joints, you need to scrape off chrome off the pipe where the joint will be. The same applies for compression joints. The copper pipe used for chrome pipes is a lot harder than normal stuff(i.e. Table X) and you can also get a lot of variation in chrome quality in the...

    pressure failure

Any water coming from the PRV outside?. Sounds like the expansion vessel is burst. If you check the air valve on the expansion vessel, you should be getting air coming out. If you get water this proves the vessel is burst and needs to be replaced.

Maybe you stand there for an hour screaming at the boiler and the vibrations will dislodge the limescale.
