    firebird combi.

Dan could be a plumber, you failed to provide any details in the previous thread other than the fault, which would usually point towards the diverter valve. Therefor i would agree with the reply you were given. I am personally unfamiliar with the Firebird boiler so cannot be certain... The...

    comi boiler

This made me smile :D if there is no diverter then it most likely has a bithermal heatexchanger (forgive me if im wrong, not familiar with the appliance). These work with a coil inside the primary circuit and reverse the circulation back through the boiler. It will most likely have a valve...

heatline c24 overheat lockout only with HW.

its very unlikely to be the HW sensor as previously stated, this is just an NTC thermistor on these if i remember correctly and its measuring the outlet temperature from the P2P h/ex. The Overheat stat is on the primary circuit so they arent linked as such. another point raised is checking...

    glowworm 38cxi f12 fault

what testing told you it was all 3 boards? dont see how thats anyone elses fault that you got it wrong. sounds like the only thing the technical team did was help you get it right, which i suppose they do on purpose.

how long should a combined last ?

any boiler should be able to work for 10 years plus. Unfortunately for some companies they have achieved a bad reputation which sadly isnt always their fault. Boilers such as heatline are victims of this and its caused by **** installers who dont do a decent job in the first place. They...

    Glow Worm 18hxi No Power

Get someone in thats gas safe and up to speed with doing electrical tests. Get them to disconnect the low voltage components off the board (J1 and J4 on these), if the display then comes back on you have a component issue. If its still blank double check the voltage onto the board on H8 (230v)...

GlowWorm boiler - VERY high pressure

The Hxi boiler does not have a pressure sensor as its an unpressurised appliance therefor it cannot indicate a pressure on the display. It sounds more like you have an electrical issue perhaps on the board, but without testing its hard to say. Id suggest getting an engineer to your property...

    Themaclassic F24E pressure problem

On this boiler the small braided hose at the bottom of the vessel can very easily become blocked. If its blocked the vessel cannot take the expansion when the water is at a higher temperature. It may need cleaning/replacing. I believe the current part has a slightly larger internal diameter to...

    GLOW WORM 30HXI F13 FAULT???

F13 most commonly caused by a burn earth on the electrode. Caused by a failed burner door seal. Caused by a lack of servicing. Hope this helps NB

Gloworm 40FF Won't power up at all.

micron 40ff not responding at all - no switched live. Next to the fuse on the left hand side of the board check the voltage on the black wire. 0v = external controls issue. Probably a valve. if there is power there quite likely to be a PCB.

Glow worm 30 cxi pressure fluctuation.

are you an engineer? if so you would know how to repair it if you came across a problem... do you say the same about every boiler that has a fault? we dont live in a perfect world and unless there were problems none of us would have a job so quit complaining... Why all the hatred for...

Glow worm 30 cxi pressure fluctuation.

I would love a conversation with the "guy" (cowboy) who said they are crap. Glow worm boilers are excellent. A boiler is only as good as the installer, and it will only last as long as the owner allows it too. if you dont maintain the appliance you cannot complain when it breaks. and...

Glow worm 30 cxi pressure fluctuation.

Just to clarify, the Cxi doesnt have a memory, the ultracom does. Do you get any fault codes showing? i wouldnt look at replacing any parts until they are tested and proven to be faulty. One possible cause of your problem is, at the base of the pressure sensor there is a small hole that...

    Vaillant/Glow-worm 30cxi F13 fault & now F12 fault with

Hi Mate, Not to wory, at least you know now what causes an F14 :) if you have F13, it is the PCB telling you that one of its connections is missing. The usual cause of this is the earth on the electrode. This is located on the burner door. If the seal around the electrode fails/passes...

    gloworm micron boiler

On the front of the Micron range (30-80) there are 2 led lights. One is the reset light and one is the burner on light. These flash in a sequence to represent a fault. Is one faster that the other? alternating? one solid? Depending on what the lights are doing depends on what the fault...

    Vaillant/Glow-worm 30cxi F13 fault & now F12 fault with

Hi There, F14 is caused when the thermistor on the flow pipe is above 95 degrees. This was probably not a board issue in the first place. Check your resistance on the thermistor at room temperature, you should have between 10k and 12k. Its an NTC so the warmer it is the less the resistance...

    GlowWorm 30CXI making loud noise

Would the bypass not cause an issue if it was after the appliance had been running? The op stated it was on first fire up once its been idle for a while. I would look towards the air gas mixture as its on first fire. I could be wrong but im 99% sure that this is the most likely cause
