    help on dismantling

Because it looks like an aluminium rad. From what the OP is describing, he wants to remove the 1 1/4" bush, which on the left side of these radiators have a left hand thread.

    help on dismantling

The part you are trying to unscrew will have a reverse thread.

Tub faucet handle only turns halfway

I'd have a guess that the brass tab that hits the stop would need to come out and be rotated a few degrees clockwise.

    Toilet selection and fitting help

You could use a swan neck pan connector which will gain you a couple of inches, or you can shop around for a bottom outlet wc that fits your measurements. eg. http://www.homesupply.co.uk/twyford-refresh-close-coupled-wc-suite=RE1148WH-RE2996WH.htm

Vailant ecotec plus pressure 3.5 - can't get pressure down

Try and drain more out, any drain point on your heating system should do. The pressure should drop unless your filling loop is letting by or you have a problem with your cylinder or boiler Did you fill it up to 3.5bar or did it go up on its own?

You could fix a board to the studs over the plasterboard, paint it white (or whatever colour your bathroom is) then hang the cistern.

    shower vave

Normally the valve is connected via a 1/2"-3/4" reducer which is supplied with most shower valves. If you have left yourself copper tails sticking out then you can use these...

    Toilet whistling and constantly running

most floats are adjustable, there should be a screw that allows you to lower or raise the float, or if it has a metal arm just bend it slightly.

Villeroy and Bosch WC not flushing waste away?

It may be that the water level in the cistern isn't high enough, you can regulate this on the fill valve.

Olive stuck under nut on short length of pipe

+1 Cut 3/4 of the way through the olive with a junior hacksaw, then insert a small flat screwdriver into the slot and twist, it should snap off, I find cutting diagonally across the olive is easier.

    Arrg! Impossible airlock (combi)

It does sound like you have a blockage of sorts on the hot side. If you have a mixer tap you could try and force mains cold water down the hot side by using a cloth, hold it over the spout as tight as possible, open the hot then the cold. You might get a bit wet in the process but it may help.

    slotted or unslotted

Your waste and trap are seperate items. You need to look for an unslotted basin waste (1" 1/4) to which you can attach any 1" 1/4 trap.
