Replaced traditional lights with downlights - now wont work if lights in next room are on!

Thanks for all of these constructive replies - my apologies; I thought I was being notified of responses but clearly I wasn't. In the end - the chap came back and found a fault with the wiring in the switch in the lounge - the one that he hadn't worked on! So all good. Thanks again!

New Beko dishwasher leaking from the cold water inlet connection

Hi There, So I recently had a new free-standing Beko dishwasher delivered and installed. I noticed a day or so later that there was a significant leak under the sink - coming from the inlet connector hose - where it connects to the cold water compression valve. The thing is - having...

Replaced traditional lights with downlights - now wont work if lights in next room are on!

Hi There, I recently had a contractor come to replace the original central lighting cluster in a downstairs dining room with a set of six Kosnic downlights. He also replaced the original dimmer switch with a new compatible one, but found that the dimmer would cause flickering (due to some...

Integrated Bosch Exccel dishwasher not washing

Ok so I've looked in the current threads for an answer but so far had no luck in describing my situation. I have an integrated Bosch Exccel (I think!) dishwasher that has suddenly stopped working. It has just a simple manual dial/timer to select the three washing modes, and an on/off button...

Three way valve and head - strange behaviour

Yes - so if the Sumvic is in the 'normal' position and neither CH nor HW are currently active on the timer - and I then press HW ONLY on the timer, the HW light on the timer comes on and the boiler immediately fires up. I've noticed at the same time that both the HW in the taps and radiators...

Three way valve and head - strange behaviour

Ah - unfortunately I haven't been able to inspect how the valve moves - I'll check that. When I say I 'check the thermostat' - and yes I mean roomstat- I only mean it's turned up - I haven't checked the output from it. Many thanks for your help John Thanks Madrab - I'll have a look at the link.

Getting hot water when central heating on

Hi Chris - I took the cover off, and can turn the valve spindle by hand - up to 90 degrees and back, How tight should these valve spindles be ? It's definitely not 'stuck' and I dont need a spanner - but it's not completely free if you know what I mean ?

Getting hot water when central heating on

Also... just a thought before I pull the trigger on a new one.... could it be that the valve itself is stuck ?
