    Manslaughter... or not

And cars pass too close to cyclists, stop in the green cyclist's area at lights, making it difficult to wait at lights safely. Also get cars parking on cycle gutters. Then when I use cycle paths that are off the road, I have pedestrians walking on them. I used to be judgemental of other...

    Manslaughter... or not

Interesting. I followed the case elsewhere the first time around, and it was considered a shared path, not least based on this: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/imported-assets/Huntingdon__St_Ives_and_surrounding_area_.pdf Lack of signage though.

    Manslaughter... or not

The path was a shared use path and over 2m wide, and the cyclist was allowed to cycle there. The pedestrian wasn't aware it was shared use though.

That was not a truly global change (but nearly). The effect was less pronounced than what we are seeing. And the CO2 change less than what we are seeing:

My posts have been in direct response to yours. You claimed we don't need cycle paths, whereas I have shown multiple sources showing this isn't true. Many more studies are available supporting my claim that not only does it improve quality of life for many, but the economic and climate change...

Doesn't matter where it is, the issues are the same. Higher density urban environments are far more economically efficient than sprawling car infested areas, such as retail parks. Another study here: https://drawdown.org/solutions/bicycle-infrastructure Summary: This is also mentioned here...

My apologies, I was basing these views on studies, rather than what some people actually "know". https://www.vtpi.org/ecodev.pdf And: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5a74ad3aed915d7ab83b5a59/value-of-cycling.pdf Then there's the fact that in a car dependent society, density is...

So you enjoy dirty rivers. Interesting. And false economies seem to be your thing. Eg. green energy: the cost of not investing in it, is far greater than doing so in the long run. Similarly, investing in better cycling infrastructure is actually a negative cost when you consider all the...
