    What are you going to do with the openining. You may be able to get a supply from the clock socket and run a cable down into it then through the side to your leds and conceal any controls in the chimney breast.

    Not a brickie but would think they would make it up slightly in each course as the wall was rising. As long as they are made aware of the problem.

    You could perhaps get some dry verge fitted but the overhang looks loke it would make things more difficult than usual. Ask a roofers to have a look.

    Not sure what we are supposed to be looking at on your pic.. But you can't repair a mirror yourself. Best thing I can think of is to disguise it somehow, perhaps with black plastic beading around the frame on top of the mirror.

    If you can manage to get to it, run a bead of "Roof and Gutter seal" down corner where the capping and flashing meet.

    If it's dry with no rot then possibly just an historical leak. I presume you mean the wall plate and the purling but where does that go through the wall to.

    Personal preference because I suspect they would work loose in a door frame that was subject to possible movement when the door was opened and closed

    The hole in the one illustrated does not look big enough to fit an angle grinder so I would suspect you would need an arbour and use with a drill.

    What is the opening that you will be fixing into built from. If it;s brick or block then screws and plugs or frame fixings.
