used the wago to clip in the cables so I can connect a flex cable to the led light

So Iv changed the rose light to led. All went well. However, Iv been informed that I should put the wago connectors in a junction box before putting back in ceiling. Is that correct?

Thanks. So if they weren’t connected to the rose and just all hanging loose how would you identify which one is which?

How do I identify the switch live cable on this rose light. Is it the red arrow I have placed? If so shouldn’t the wire be sleeved brown?
